Cle Elum Adventure Engagement // Coryn & Ian

When Coryn and Ian came to me for engagement photos they said they wanted an outdoor shoot with a Fall feel to it. Unfortunately with our timeline the leaves had not yet changed on the West side of the mountains. This was a perfect excuse to take a drive to one of my all favorite places to be! You just have to cross the Snoqualmie Pass to Cle Elum, get off at my secret location and you're there! Fall leaves and colors everywhere, it worked out perfectly. Congrats again to Coryn and Ian, I can't wait for the wedding day!

Stepping Stones Garden Wedding // Melissa & David

I love it when things go so right! That starts with Melissa and David's wedding at the Stepping Stones Garden in Mount Vernon. Early morning signs of heavy cloud cover taunted us with rain. Slowly those clouds lifted so by early afternoon we had a blanket of beautiful light for their ceremony and family photos.  It was perfect! During the reception we snuck away to take advantage of a vibrant sunset with bride and groom pictures in the garden. What a wonderful day for a wedding... congrats Melissa and David!

Geysers, Hot Springs & Landscape // Yellowstone National Park, WY

My wife Erin and I set our out-of-office replies, packed our car and headed to Yellowstone back in late July. We made our first stop at a campground in Montana, then arrived in West Yellowstone the following day. After getting a map and making a game plan we spent the next three days in the park. The first night was extremely cold with temperatures in the low 30's/high 20's and even expected snow! The following nights warmed up quite a bit and were a bit more comfortable for tent sleeping. Our fist full day in the park we hit the north loop which took us by the Norris Geyser Basin, Mammoth Hot Springs, and beautiful views filled with clouds and rolling hills. Our second day we hit the south loop which brought us to waterfalls, the shores of Lake Yellowstone and of course Old Faithful! Our third day we had breakfast in town and spent the rest of the day exploring the Upper and Lower Geyser Basins. Erin got to see her buffalo, I got to take LOTS of pictures, and we had a great time exploring together.  My dream would be to go back and see the park in all its fall or winter glory!

Pamela & Erick

When I was told that Pamela and Erick were going to have a renaissance themed wedded, I was absolutely thrilled. They really pulled it off with every detail imaginable on their wedding day. From the personalized outfits, table decorations and even the hand-made dragon from mother-of-the-bride! Evening entertainment by the amazing Eric Haines had everyone in for good laughs as well. What a day to remember! Congrats again to the newlyweds... Pamela and Erick!

Travels, Family and Good Times // Cincinnati, OH

A few months ago Erin and I finally made the trip out to Cincinnati to visit my brother, his wife and our two little nephews. I know I'm a little late but I couldn't let this trip go un-posted! We had a great time in the big city and even more with the family. Did some adventuring to the museum and zoo while we were there. We even went out to this little park with a great overlook and did some family pictures. We had a really great time and can't wait to make it out there again. Thanks again Nick and Andrea!

Barclay Lake Morning Hike // Washington Trails

This was the first hike of the season for us. We're just tip-toeing into hiking and we found this one to be very reasonable. It had a few down trees that had to be either walked around or climbed over. The view of the lake and Baring Mountain at the end of the hike was very nice. Take a gander at the rest of the images from the Barclay Lake hike...
