Seattle Wedding Photographer // Romantic & Authentic Couple Session

Let me tell you all about an adventurous engagement shoot that I did with Mallory and Dan! I met these two through a wedding planner in the Seattle area that I worked with at a prior wedding, Katie Pitchford of All Tied Up Events. Big thanks to Katie for the recommendation as these two were a ton of fun to work with and even more fun to just hang out with. Their engagement photos felt more like a casual walk about with friends who happen to also enjoy getting lost in a forest after missing their initial ferry departure out of Seattle. Hey, good thing we build in time buffers! As you will see we carpooled onto the ferry and went directly to the top deck to capture as many photos as we could within the 30 min travel from Seattle to Bainbridge Island. I thought 30 min would be a time crunch for photos but it was quickly learned that I had no problem of getting genuine shots of these love birds left and right. Mallory and Dan needed no direction, they were naturally at ease in front of the camera. We lucked out too because not many travelers were touring the top deck. We had a whole boat to ourselves! Maybe it was the weather, late afternoon, wind, but it all worked in our favor. We got our shots and quickly arrived to Bainbridge Island to get another set of photos in the wooded trails. Mallory expressed to me that she LOVES ferns and would like to have them included in any way possible. So, we went to the perfect location that was a haven for ferns. Did our thing there and made our way back to the ferries to get back over to Seattle. Remember I told you we missed the first ferry departure?… Well we missed the one on the way back as well, lol. It was a good excuse to stick around the island to grab some local burgers and beer before heading back. We did just that and enjoyed a relaxing ferry ride back. Their wedding day is in a few short days and thought I would share this adventure. Based on our evening together here I know that we’re going to have a fun filled wedding day full of grand images! Congrats again Mallory and Dan, I can’t wait!
